While Windows 95 performs quite well, it has a tendency to lockup on occasion. Additionally, it still uses the old DOS file system which is prone to corruption. Microsoft has now brought out Windows 98 and is recommending that people upgrade to this system. Also, Windows 95 is not fully Y2K compliant however, don't despair. It won't crash on January 1, 2000.
